Jean Monnet Public Lecture on European Integration was held at Kutaisi University

In April 2019, European Union Studies Association (EUSA) organized an open lecture about EU-Georgia cooperation and Georgia’s European integration process at Kutaisi University.

The lecture and the following discussion were attended by about 50 students from various faculties of Kutaisi University (legal faculty and legal clinic) and Akaki Tsereteli State University (business and tourism faculties).

The main objective of the seminars was to provide students with updated information about the EU-Georgia relations. In the Q&A and discussion format, seminar overviewed the existing programs and agreements with the EU, which helps and bolsters the social, economic and democratic life in Georgia. The students were particularly interested in the issues related to the EU-Georgia Association Agenda and the importance of anti-discrimination politics in the EU integration process.

The lecture-seminar was delivered by EUSA expert, Dr. Gvantsa Davitashvili.

The lectures were held in the framework of the EU’s Erasmus + Jean Monnet project “Disseminating Knowledge on EU-Georgian Association Agreement among Academic Communities in Georgia”.
